Jersey County, Illinois

Jersey County is located in West Central Illinois. It is named for the State of New Jersey.
The seat and largest city are both Jerseyville. The county is bordered by the Mississippi River.
Jersey County borders Greene, Macoupin, Madison and Calhoun Counties in Illinois, as well as St. Charles County in Missouri.
Main highways through the county include US-67, IL-3, IL-16 and IL-100.
